About the D3NJ: Don't Drive Distracted Contest
New Jersey high school students are invited to compete in a two-tier competition designed to raise awareness about the dangers young drivers face when behind the wheel of a car. Participants will design and develop a production ready multi-media teen safe driving awareness campaign. The winning campaign design will be produced and distributed by a grant from the
DCH Teen Safe Driving Foundation.
Campaigns will be judged based on the contest participant’s clarity and conciseness of their safe driving message and the creativity they choose to deliver that message. While each contestant is free choose whichever medium they want to include in their campaign, one of the following elements must be included:
- Website
- Video PSA
- :30 or :60 cable spot
- :30 radio spot
- Social media page/site
- Classroom curriculum
- Local community or school event
- Billboard or outdoor campaign
- Smartphone app
To be eligible for the contest, participants must get parental permission and
register online. Registration will open on January 15 and close on February 15.
The grand prize winner will be selected by an outside panel of judges, experts in the field of teen safe driving. The winner will be announced at a ceremony scheduled for May 5. Each finalist eligible for the grand prize must attend. Failure to attend will disqualify the participant.
Only one grand prize winner will be chosen. A conciliation prize will be awarded to the second place finisher.
